Brock Jarvis’ Nikita Tszyu reveal as PPV blockbuster looms, but ‘robbery’ ruins co-main

Brock Jarvis demands Nikita Tszyu in a pay per view mega fight in Sydney next year after a triumphant fourth round stoppage of Adrian Rodriguez.

At the same time, No Limit’s card of 2025 was an example of the biggest robbery in Australian boxing in years, when Jasmine Parr lost to Shannon O’Connell by the split decision.

This masthead can verify that No Limit has its eye on Jarvis and Tszyu as the feature attraction for its initial pay-per-view event of 2025 with the bout planned for March.

BOXING: INOUE VS GOODMAN | TUE 24 DEC 7PM AEDT | Australian boxer Sam Goodman has received the fight of his life as he draws an opponent with the unbeaten record against Naoya ‘The Monster’ Inoue in Tokyo on Christmas Eve.

Tszyu has not fought for a year since the spectacular violent knockout of Koen Mazoudier in August and underwent hand surgery, but is now back in the gym.

Tszyu has claimed he will knock Jarvis out if ever faced one on one with him, to which Jarvis responded on Friday night.

“I’ve heard his original call out, he said he would knock me out,” Jarvis told me at the ring side.

Another woman said, “carry him next, as and where.”

Tszyu and Jarvis have sparred together years ago, with Nikita telling this masthead: “In the amateurs I think we only met a couple of times to box what do they call it, spar??

“It was just when he was starting off as well.

“I remember kicking his ass. So, let’s go again.

It will be glad to see how much he has improved. This was all that the “Big” could come up with, small 10 ounce gloves (in the pros) and over 10 rounds…Poor Brocky.

Jarvis fired all those comments back as he was enjoying his victory over Rodriguez.

“I was a kid when I sparred him, I was still playing footy,” he said. I went to footy training to sparring to spar him.”

“I wasn’t even informed of anything about boxing at that time. I’d just started.”

In the co-main event, Parr was denied what has been described as one of the worst losses in the history of Australian boxing when he was given a bizarre split decision loss to O’Connell with the scores of 80 – 72, 78 – 74, 75 – 77.

Just moments after the first defeat in her overall professional tennis career, an emotional Parr was fuming.

And if you look at her face and look at my face, she was running the whole fight there, Parr said. It is inexplicable, that’s boxing I suppose.

Oh I promise you I know for a fact I won that.

“It’s dodgy shit. The words for me to say have been cut short, because that is robbery in the middle of the highway.”

This left Parr consolation as she got out of the ring with the help of Sam Goodman.

“Sam said I won,” she said. “At ringside, Sam saw the fight and said she maybe won three roundsiotic about three rounds.

She’s older? She was running? She wasn’t going to last? And she didn’t?” She had her hands down and was running.”

“Fight me like a real woman.”

Currently enjoying one of the most promising futures in Australian female boxing, Parr demanded an instant rematch with the 41-year-old O’Connell.

“I’d better get one,” she said. But she has been 41 years old a while she’s got maybe a few years left in her dancing.

“In a way, people have always said there is politics in boxing, and here it is. This is my first experience of it.”

While Australia has a brand new boxing superstar, Paris Olympian ratified Callum Peters delivered a masterclass of first-round knockout knock out against Mitch Holden.

And the light heavyweight prospect did it with a pair of indoor football shoes on his feet.

“They’re Jordans. This one’s 11 from a Brazilian player from a few years ago,” Peters said. I’m always wearing futsal shoes they are cheaper, they are better, they are lighter, and they keep the feet going.

“And Lomachenko and Usyk did the same thing.

“I had this huge green boxing boots once, and I think it took her a good half an hour to lace it up.” They resembled wrestling shoes, right up to your knees.

“I couldn’t wore those anymore, so I switched, I wore them at the Commonwealth Games and they’re still going good.”

Matt Rose says that he would prefer it if Peters stays as involved as possible in the year 2025 since Peters is signed to No Limit.

‘He could fight 10 times a year,’ Rose told this masthead. What they said to me, ‘You know like Mike Tyson back in the day.’
