Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury targeted for bare-knuckle boxing fights

Bedouin Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship CEO David Feldman has revealed reigning Anthony Joshua and Lineal champion Tyson Fury as two more fighters to join his continually expanding promotion.

Feldman also mentioned Conor McGregor – who is partially responsible for owning BKFC. The former two division MMA champion allegedly has two bouts remaining on his existing UFC contract and has recently shown intrest in the BKFC promotion.

When asked if he’s seen the prospect of McGregor moving to BKFC as a fight, Feldman said: “Unless he’s the best salesman in the world, the talks that we’ve had, it’s like ‘I’m fighting here.’” “I’m like yeah, OK. He [said], ‘I’m fighting here.’ ‘I asked, ‘Why wouldn’t you fight here?’ Because you own shares in the company, and should you decide to fight here, most likely you would make more money than anyplace else in the world because of what this company is going to create in the future. Therefore, gentlment or lady, I do fully agree with what you have said. I think 100 per cent he fights here.”

Indeed it seems quite achievable to lure the Irishman into a fight within the promotion, yet both, Joshua and Fury, might be too lofty in their goal. However, Feldman will not hesitate to go to any length to sign the two giant heavyweights to the organisation.

In an interview with World Boxing News, the BKFC boss said: The best people I think would be conor, Tyson fury and Anthony Joshua. Anthony Joshua gave an interview where he said my first favorite sport is boxing, and the second one is bare-knuckle fighting. He said it. To the public. There are guys like that out there, and it’s not out of the question to imagine some of the greatest boxers in history or the greatest MMA fighters who want to take their gloves off and fight for BKFC. He said: “I don’t think that’s far-fetched”.

He added: I don’t want to name them all but Conor McGregor – he is on social media and he says it all. ‘I’m a player-manager. ‘I’m going to fight bare knuckle.’ It will not be long that him, Fury, Joshua … who knows? That’s clearly true, and so, I am not saying that they are going to do it, and not saying they’ll not do it too, but I trust that there’s a good shot of any combat sport athlete in the whole world now doing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, I really do.

Some people have urged Joshua to retire from boxing after he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September. Still, the two-time heavyweight doesn’t want to retire, and thus he still continues fighting. “We lost it but we must look at this side of it,” said the player in an interview shared on social media. That is the attitude and that is the approach we need to take and always best is the attitude. Check out what we have achieved in the last 11 years and that is something that is phenomenal and I would like to thank each and every one of you for riding with me.

It has been such an emotional ride, but do you know the issue at hand; it is far from ending. We’ve spoken about it once, we’ve spoken about it twice and it hasn’t been easy to do it the third time but it is something that I can accomplish, yes, it is about the right moves forward, about hard work and progress. I guess you really truly have to want to do it for it to really be good and worth doing. It can’t be from last straw calls or outsiders; it has to be from within. I’m only a day in but when I close my mind and take a moment I realize I’ve got a lot of fight in me. Thank you for the support, thank you for being part of the ride. Tighten your seat belts because way down deep, way down deep, way, way down deep in here I know I’ve got a lot more I’ve got to contribute to the game and let it go on forever.

Regarding Fury, ‘The ‘Gypsy King’ will be preparing for rematch against Oleksandr Usyk next month the same two fought before. On the other hand, McGregor has been inactive in the cage since his defeat to bitter rival, Dustin Poirier last year. The Irishman was due to face Michael Chandler earlier this year but he had to pull out of the fight after getting injured in training.
