What to do
There are also fun places to visit in Atlanta also there are some places which Atlanta people only like to visit.
First if this is your first time visiting Atlanta, there is a section downtown near the Centennial Park which has the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coca Cola and the Museum of Center for Human and Civil Right. All three are found close together and they are closed attractions.
For a more native experience, there is the Beltline, a pedestrian trail system through the City of Atlanta and you will encounter many young people cycling and admiring the skyline. Other places which are off the beltline are Ponce city market and Kro g street market both of which have food halls shops and other restaurants to sample.
To quench the thirst of an excellent view of the city of Atlanta, visit the roof of Ponce City Market for a cocktail and ride the carnival. If you have to go up there, it will cost you $6 but the experience and the pictures for Insta tales makes it worth it.
Other exciting places to visit in Atlanta when you are in that mood for an outdoor activity include Atlanta Zoo, Atlanta botanical Garden, or Piedmont park.
Finally, Atlanta is the home of the late Martin Luther King Jr and there is his birth home and history site in Atlanta.
Where to eat
Atlanta is a great food city. Oh there are many of them and there are quite numbers out there which have been serving the people for over three or four decades being intrinsic part of Atlanta now.
One good place that i have found for some real good south style soups, stews and fried chicken is Busy Bee Cafe. Eater even says that this place that received the James Beard America’s Classics award, offers fried chicken marinated for 12 hours.
Atlanta also has its fair share of BBQ and chicken wing restaurants too as well. As for BBQ I would visit Fox Brothers BBQ or Heirloom BBQ. For wings, people love J.R. Crickets and you can have it; provided that when you go to watch a Hawks game at the State Farm Arena.
If you are on the lookout for something a little more up-scale, Marcel, a reaction to the traditional steakhouse from Ford Fry, is what you’re looking for, along with The Optimist, a seafood and oyster bar serving fresh catches from the sea.
Where to stay
Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium is easily accessible by foot especially if you are a visitor who is planning to tour downtown Atlanta. They still have a wide range of hotels in the Atlanta metro area, but to get to the game you would have to locate transportation or take the MARTA train down. One is to stop right at the stadium which is quite convenient. Atlanta has one of the worst traffic situations so make sure you get there early enough for kickoff.
Marble Control: Some of the other good parts of Atlanta other than downtown business area are Midtown, Virginia Highlands, Buckhead and Sandy Springs.
